What started as a commercial real estate brokerage company in Middletown, CT has now blossomed into one of the region's most successful and reputable development companies. The corporate office is now located in Webster, MA immediately off Exit 3 of Interstate 395. This central location allows Galaxy to better service the trade areas it has concentrated on in Connecticut, Massachusetts New Hampshire and New York while actively pursuing growth opportunities in Rhode Island and Maine as well.
Galaxy Development has completed projects totaling over $250 million during the last ten years and has given new life to distressed properties and communities that have cooperated and shared the visions of the company. Major national name tenants such as Price Chopper, Walgreens, Chilis, Taco Bell, Kohl's, Advance Auto, Tractor Supply, Panera Bread, Bank of America, AutoZone, Dollar Tree, Aldi, Family Dollar and Planet Fitness, Rite Aid and many others have been the beneficiaries of projects built by Galaxy from the ground up.
In doing so, Galaxy has often been able to tackle the most difficult of sites, overcoming the most challenging environmental issues, permitting hurdles and development costs that would cause most developers to turn away. Many neighborhood and communities have witnessed the close attention Galaxy gives to tasteful design and well-landscaped development projects while also benefiting from an increased tax base and new employment. The new stores Galaxy has developed since 2005 have added over 2,600 new jobs to the communities it has finished projects in. Galaxy continues to flourish with the completion of more than 20 new projects totaling nearly a million square feet in four states.
